Magnetic card is the card attached by a short strip of magnetic tape. It contains data that will tell a reading device about your customer information. Data can be encoded on track 1, track 2, track 3. Encoding is the information programmed in the magnetic stripe. This allows the card to be swiped through a card reading device that is designed to retrieve the information on the magnetic stripe. According to the density of the magnetic particles in the stripe, magnetic stripe can be classified as HiCo(High Coercivity)magnetic stripe and LoCo(Low Coercivity) magnetic stripe.
